Big East Tournament
@ Madison Square Garden
Seton Hall (19-11 SU, 8-16 ATS) vs Notre Dame (21-10 SU, 14-10-1 ATS)
The second night of Big East Tournament play from Madison Square Garden tips off with a Seton Hall team that survived last night against a red-hot Notre Dame squad. The Pirates did not cover the 5.5-point number in Tuesday's 109-106 win over Providence and now have won three straight and seven of nine on the scoreboard. But they're on a plethora of spread funks including 6-15 overall, 6-14 in conference games, 5-13 versus winning teams, 2-9 after a straight-up win and 7-20 in neutral court contests. They did halt a six-game losing skid to the Irish this year with a 90-87 home win last month, but didn't cover the 5.5-point number and are 2-7 ATS in the last nine meetings.
Notre Dame has won and covered four straight following last Saturday's 63-60 overtime win at Marquette. The Irish are 6-4-1 SU and 5-7 ATS away from South Bend this season and are on ATS rolls of 5-0 overall, 4-0 after a scoreboard triumph and 5-0 versus teams with winning records. With regards to the total, Notre Dame has stayed 'under' in four straight games while the Pirates have sailed high in four consecutive.
Cincinnati (17-14 SU, 7-19 ATS) vs Louisville (20-11 SU, 10-16 ATS)
The Bearcats did not cover the eight-point spread in last night's 69-68 win over Rutgers at MSG and are now 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS in neutral court games this year. Cincy is on several pointspread slides including 4-19 overall, 5-21 in Big East games, 7-20 versus winning teams and 3-9 after a scoreboard win. The Bearcats did stay inside the nine-point number in a 68-60 loss at Louisville this year to snap a five-game ATS win streak for the scoreboard winner in this rivalry.
The Cardinals halted a 1-4 spread skid with last Saturday's 78-68 home upset of then No. 1-ranked Syracuse in the final game played at Freedom Hall. Louisville is still on ATS free falls of 5-11 overall, 1-9 after a spread-cover and 0-6 after a scoreboard victory. And while the Cards have stayed 'under' the total in five of six after a straight-up win, the Bearcats have gone 'over' in five of seven after a scoreboard victory.
